Our perspective on this property

Devbagh Beach Resort is among the most distinctive properties in the entire JLR portfolio — not because of facilities or luxury, but because of where it sits. It occupies a private peninsula at the exact point where the Kali River meets the Arabian Sea. You reach it by motorboat from the mainland. Once you land, you are on what feels like a private island, surrounded by a casuarina grove, a clean private beach and the sound of both river and sea.

Rabindranath Tagore wrote his first play on the Karwar shoreline nearby. That detail alone tells you something about the quality of light and solitude this place offers.

The resort has 20 cottages and log huts on stilts, each named after a bird. Every room has a balcony and the sea faces you directly. Dolphin watching, kayaking, swimming and a beach barbecue campfire every evening are part of the package — along with a candlelight dinner, a distinctive touch unique to Devbagh among all JLR properties.
