Devbagh Beach Resort stands out in the JLR portfolio for its coastal setting near the meeting point of the Kali River and the Arabian Sea. The property currently has 20 air-conditioned cottages; older tented accommodation has been discontinued.
A major practical change is access: guests can now drive directly from Karwar to the resort and park inside the property. The earlier guest boat-transfer arrangement is no longer used.
The Beach Package suits travellers who want the bundled Devbagh experience, including meals and scheduled activities such as kayaking and a dolphin-watching boat outing. The Food & Stay option can be a sensible alternative for price-conscious travellers, some senior citizens, or families with very young children who may not use all the bundled activities and would rather choose chargeable activities separately.
One night gives a compact introduction to Devbagh; two nights is the better choice for a slower coastal stay and allows more time for the property and additional experiences, subject to the operating programme.

Practical Planning — Access, Nights, Drivers & EVs
Devbagh is now reachable by road from Karwar. Self-drive guests can take their vehicle to the resort and park inside the property. Older references to mandatory boat transfer are outdated.
Guests arriving in Karwar early can take a local taxi to the resort, use common facilities and purchase breakfast while waiting for the room. After the 11 AM checkout, luggage can be kept in the common lobby and guests may remain at the property and purchase additional food or services before a later departure.
One night works for a compact Beach Package experience. Two nights is better for travellers who want a less rushed stay and time for additional experiences such as the Kali Mata riverside island outing, subject to the operating programme.
A practical staff-room sleeping arrangement with beds and staff-room meals is currently available for accompanying drivers. Food taken in the main restaurant is chargeable. Reconfirm this arrangement while booking.
The resort currently provides slow charging for two four-wheelers at a time, making overnight charging possible in suitable vehicles. Reconfirm socket/vehicle compatibility before relying on it.
