Let's be upfront about the most important thing here: this camp is named for its proximity to Sakrebyle, one of Karnataka's foremost elephant training centres, but elephant interaction is currently marked as temporarily stopped by JLR itself — both as part of the standard itinerary and as a paid add-on. We'd rather tell you this clearly now than have you book expecting an elephant experience that isn't currently running.
That said, the camp itself remains a pleasant riverside stay on the banks of the Tunga, with nature walks, birding, a wildlife film show, a bonfire, and trekking at nearby Shettihalli Wildlife Sanctuary all still part of the standard experience.
