Blackbuck Resort is the most unusual property in the entire JLR portfolio — not because of luxury or wildlife drama, but because of what it protects and where it sits. Eighteen kilometres from Bidar, next to Vilaspur Lake and Honnikeri Reserve Forest, this is the only JLR property built around the endangered blackbuck — one of India’s most striking antelopes, with its spiral horns and distinctive two-tone coat.

Bidar itself is extraordinary — a north Karnataka city with Bahmani-era heritage, Persian and Turkish architectural influence found nowhere else in Karnataka. The Bidar Fort, Mahmud Gawan Madrasa, Bahmani tombs — remarkable sites that most Karnataka travellers have never visited.
