About this tour
This 3-day KSTDC tour from Bangalore covers Srirangapatna, Mysore, Brindavan Gardens, Nanjangud, Bandipur Tiger Reserve and Ooty by AC Deluxe Coach — from Tipu Sultan's summer palace on Day 1 to Doddabetta Peak at 2,637m on Day 2.
Day 1 covers Daria Daulat Bagh at Srirangapatna, St. Philomena's Church, Chamundi Hills, Mysore Palace (third most visited monument in India) and the Musical Fountain at Brindavan Gardens, KRS. Day 2 begins at Nanjangud Srikanteshwara Temple, passes through Bandipur Tiger Reserve and ascends to Ooty — Ooty Lake, Doddabetta Peak and Botanical Garden. Day 3 visits Coonoor Film Shooting Point and Mysore Zoo on the return.
Departs every Saturday at 6:30 AM from Yeshwanthpura, Bengaluru. Returns Day 3 at 9:00 PM.

Good choice when you have three days
This tour is particularly useful for travellers who have three days available and want to combine Mysuru and Ooty without adding Kodaikanal. The sightseeing pattern at Mysuru and Ooty remains broadly similar to the longer circuit; the main difference is that Kodaikanal is left out.
Ooty is reasonably well covered
This is not merely a touch-and-go visit to Ooty. The itinerary gives reasonable time at the scheduled Ooty attractions, provided travellers return to the coach within the allotted time at every stop.
Best for travellers comfortable with fixed timings
Like other KSTDC conducted tours, the programme works as a group itinerary. Travellers should be comfortable following the guide's sightseeing and departure timings rather than expecting a self-paced hill-station holiday.
Skipping a stop does not create extra touring time
If you do not wish to visit a particular sightseeing place, you may stay back in the coach for that allotted stop. The itinerary does not permit separate sightseeing plans or other deviations from the group schedule.
What to know before you choose this tour
Bandipur–Mudumalai is forest transit, not a safari
The Mysuru–Ooty road passes through Bandipur on the Karnataka side and Mudumalai on the Tamil Nadu side. KSTDC does not stop for a wildlife safari. The driver may slow down briefly when animals are visible from the road, but sightings should never be treated as guaranteed.
Nilgiri Toy Train cannot be added
The Ooty/Nilgiri Toy Train is not part of this conducted tour and cannot practically be clubbed with the fixed KSTDC itinerary.
Brindavan Gardens evening visit
The tour normally visits Brindavan Gardens in the evening, so travellers can usually see the musical fountain when it is operating. Because the group is at Brindavan Gardens during this period, the evening illumination of Mysore Palace is not covered on the same tour schedule.
No independent deviation from the group
You may choose to remain in the coach instead of visiting a particular attraction, but only for that stop's allotted duration. Travellers cannot use that time to create a separate itinerary or stay behind elsewhere.
